Young couple Josh and Renai (Rose Byrne) have moved into a big crawly house with their three children. Josh is unmindful to just how stressed out Renai is, what with caring for three small children and settling into this big house. When one of their sons goes into the dome to investigate, all does not end well. He tumbles off of a ladder, sees something dreaded and never come to knowingness. A feared Renai and Josh take him to the hospital, but the doctors are confused. They can’t see a single reason why he would remain unconsciousness. Naturally, this leads to them eventually sending the boy home,

Renai starts seeing and hearing unknown things around the house, but Josh dismisses her concerns because of her unconsciousness state .Finally, it becomes obvious to Josh that something is really wrong with the house. They change the house. In a cruel twist of fate, the same exact things start happening at their new house. This forces the couple to face up the possibility that it is their son that is haunted, and not the house.

For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world – Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrific reality when Earth is attemped by unknown forces. It's up to a Marine staff sergeant and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they've ever coming upon.

The actual story is started when The Marines commandeer a bus for elimination. During this trial of ordial, they learn of the aliens' weaknesses and military tactics; finding that alien foot have a weak point in the torso, that the alien attack aircraft are remote-controlled drones and the aliens monitor and locate Earth miltary forces through monitoring their radio communications.

Nantz leads what remains of the platoon outside the bombing zone, and they rest at a convenience store. A news report contemplate that the aliens have attacked Earth for its water supply. The team waits for the bombing to begin, but nothing happens.
